Hello,

i’m cassandra

awards & press:

Florals by Cassandra crafts bespoke floral art and arrangements rooted in a lifelong connection to nature.

Growing up, I spent summers in the forest at archery tournaments, running barefoot through the ferns in my family’s backyard, and picking blackberries along the road to our home. Flowers have always been part of my story, and now I get to share that story through every design I create. My inspiration comes from our forests we’re lucky enough to have here in the Pacific Northwest. Where old-growth trees tower overhead, moss climbs skyward, and the forest floor is dotted with ferns, wildflowers, mushrooms, and so much more.

My work has taken me to Italy to study texture and style with world-class floral educators. I’ve also been honored to create a floral installation celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community here in Seattle and to receive an award for that piece. Most recently, Florals by Cassandra was nominated for Best New Wedding Business by Washington Wedding Day.

Whether I’m designing florals for your wedding day or welcoming you into one of our workshops, I hope to have the opportunity to share my love of nature and the Pacific Northwest with you.

Sustainability

It’s because of this ongoing love and admiration that Florals by Cassandra is committed to sustainability. I promise that:

Our flowers are sourced from local growers. At least 80% of the flowers in every arrangement will come from WA, OR, ID, CA, or BC with an emphasis on Washington blooms when available.

Vases are largely sourced second hand. I hunt for the perfect vases from thrift shops, antique stores, and pieces handed down from my family.

We’re floral foam free and instead choose to use sustainably and reusable mechanics to bring your floral dreams to life! Floral foam may be green in color but it’s not green for our planet. One brick of foam contains as much plastic as 10 plastic grocery bags and in turn breaks down into microplastics that take thousands of years to decompose.

sustainability is at the core of our business
